Biography:
Dr. Xiaohong Sui received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Microelectronics and Solid-State Electronics from Xi’an University of Technology, Xi’an, China, in 2001 and 2004, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics and Solid-State Electronics from Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 2007 to 2011, she was a Lecturer at Department of Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She was a Lecturer at School of Biomedical Engineering, SJTU from 2011 to 2014. From 2014 to 2015, she was a visiting assistant professor at Department of Biomedical Engineering, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, USA. Currently, she is an associate professor at School of Biomedical Engineering. Her research interests include neural rehabilitation engineering, implantable MEMS-based neural electrodes, neural interface computational modeling, visual prosthesis, neural electrophysiological experiments, sensory feedback for movement rehabilitation, etc. She achieved SJTU-SMC Morning Star Excellent Young Scholar Awards in 2008 (C) and 2013 (B). She was the PI of one National Science Foundation of China project, two SJTU projects, and two sub-projects of the Key Project of Chinese National Programs for Fundamental Research and Development (973 Project).
